There are two primary approaches to Religion in Polistet
Louval
A monotheistic religion whose members worship the god Val.
Val
Omniscient, omnipresent, omnipotent, all-good god who created everything. All good people join him in Heaven, and all bad people go to Hell.
Sects
- The Church of Stars, the strongest and most organized sect which worships Val's mysterious nature and interprets the cosmos for spiritual guidance.
- The Church of Libera, which worships Val's genius and the inherent beauty in logic and natural processes, focusing on the relationship between the spiritual and rational.
- Val's Travelers, a Golemo-exclusive semi-nomadic sect which worships Val's gift of nature and desires to keep the world clean and bountiful through mindful consumption of the world's resources.
Okyanus
A polytheistic religion originating in Nebez which worships many patron gods represented by elements and states of matter.
Gods
The Okyanus gods are not unbiased and immortal; they help people who help them, fight each other often and, sometimes, they die. There is a hierarchy of the gods, with the most essential element being liquids, then gasses, then solids, and then the stars. Afrets are believed to be demi-gods born from the gods and humans; there are currently 11 known Afrets, though many have not been seen in a long time.
- Liquid Gods
- Preshia. Considered the greatest of the gods, she is the Goddess of Water, The Mind, Comfort, Repetition, Peace, and Careful Movement.
- Karmez. God of Blood, Opposites, Life & Death, Danger, Love, and Wolves
- Gas Gods
- Tsouli. Goddess of Fire, Luck, Dance, Hunger, Cats, and Friends.
