The Proman Era
The Kingdoms of Frouland, several areas under the banner of one king, used to dominate the entire continent. The king of all the kingdoms was Moff Proman, often dubbed The Peaceful King. The Kingdoms during his rule were Creilin, Wrece, Kel, Gausland, and Nebez.

The Sprausic Insurrection

One day, Wren Spraus, the discoverer of Sprausic Magic, marched on Carveila, the old capital of Frouland. He took his many Sprausic sorcerers and, because there had been no conflict in the Kingdoms for centuries, he easily took the throne for himself.
Modern King Spraus
Wren Spraus has been the king of Frouland for the last 504 years. He is a Quast, a species of furry humanoids that grow forever and never die of old age. During his first years of ruling, he moved the capital to Zip, a much more defensible position which only allows access to government officials. He has also heavily supported the continuing research of Sprausic Magic, alloting a huge area of North Kel for free experimentation by Sprausic sorcerers, creating the labyrinthian megacity of Noscom.
For the last 300 years, Wren Spraus has not appeared publicly. He cited this at first as a security issue, since he was getting so large and can only die of violence, sickness, hunger, or thirst, so eliminating threats of violence and sickness help a lot. In a way, it has been proven to work well, since he’s the oldest Quast in known history. However, some people doubt that he is still alive, and think the Viziers, high-ranking government officials who run the individual Kingdoms, are pretending he is still alive so they can have control over the kingdoms.
The Wars of Splits
This anxiety culminated over 100 years into the Wars of Splits, where multiple revolutions, starting in 312, split Frouland off from the Kingdom of Nebez, which further split into three new independent countries.
First, the entire Kingdom of Nebez split off from the rest of the Kingdoms of Frouland, and their land was sorted out to each of the major tribes who hold power in Nebez (Pyetorelsti, Gulgof, Molitsi, Yak’thyel, Roldim, Atkyer, Kilbia, Tsalogi). The driving force behind this revolution was Keskov Corsin and his new religion, stating that the King, whether he had died or not, was no longer chosen by the gods to serve the people, and a new ruler must rise.
Then, the Trade Islands of Sam, with the help of the new Carte Blanche Covey headed by Rowan Cerdinen, split from Nebez, citing rampant classism and oppression of laborers. They established themselves under a philosophy of neutrality and freedom.
After that, the Carte Blanche Covey’s revolution in Sam inspired many people in the south of Nebez near the island to also overthrow Nebezi rule, naming their country the United Cerdic Provinces, or UCP, after Rowan Cerdinen. People call the UCP “Yuci” for short.
